London Diamond Initiative 'can reduce re-offending'

An evaluation of the first year of the London Diamond Initiative suggests that the programme can reduce re-offending among offenders who leave prison after sentences of under 12 months. The six month re-offending rate for Diamond offenders (28%) was lower than a comparison group (43%). Read more...

 


Record performance in 2009-10 for London CJS

Criminal justice agencies in London achieved record performance in 2009-10 across a range of challenging targets which are agreed each year to drive up performance. The London CJP's Annual Report for 2009-10 shows that, of the 19 targets set for the year, nine were surpassed and a further seven are within 10% of target. Download the report here.

RADAR – a new approach to managing performance

A new process to improve criminal justice performance called ‘RADAR’ (Review, Analyse, Diagnose, Action and Report) has been launched by the London CJP. RADAR allows the Partnership to report on performance at both borough and regional level. Read more...
