Swindon Pride
THE WILTSHIRE Criminal Justice Board (WCJB) has sponsored the first Swindon Pride event.
The Pride, which took place on Saturday, August 16, celebrated diversity for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community in Swindon and Wiltshire, and attracted hundreds of people to the Town Gardens.
Throughout the day, there was a great mix of entertainment, which was kicked off at the Bowl by The Sheilas who took centre stage in pink sequinned dresses and hot pink killer heels.
The WCJB held an information stand at the event and encouraged the public to find out more about the work it does.
Swindon Pride chairman James Waterhouse said: “When Swindon Pride was first discussed it seemed so far away, and even more than a little daunting but with lots of support we’ve made it.”
