Vision

Warwickshire Criminal Justice Board is committed to protecting communities from harm.

Together, we will provide an efficient and effective Criminal Justice System in which victims, witnesses, the public, our staff and our partners can have confidence.

  • Warwickshire police will contribute to achieving this by supporting victims and witnesses, by gathering and presenting the best possible evidence, and by effectively enforcing the orders of the Courts.
  • Warwickshire Crown Prosecution Service will contribute to achieving this by consistent, fair and independent review of cases and fair, thorough and firm presentation in court.
  • Her Majesty’s Courts Service will contribute to achieving this by providing a timely, responsive and effective court service tailored to meet the needs of its users.
  • Warwickshire Probation Service will contribute to achieving this through working with offenders and our partners to reduce re-offending, aid rehabilitation, deliver and enforce community sentences and protect the public by reducing the risks of harm.
  • Warwickshire Youth Offending Service will contribute to achieving this by preventing offending by young people and engaging victims and the community in restorative processes.
  • Her Majesty’s Prison Service will contribute to achieving this by keeping in custody those committed by the courts, looking after them with humanity and helping them lead law-abiding and useful lives in custody and after release.
  • The Legal Services Commission will contribute to achieving this by ensuring access to quality assured defence advice and representation.
