Domestic Violence
What Constitutes Domestic Abuse
Domestic abuse/violence is a pattern of abusive and controlling behaviour. Your partner may want to control every aspect of your life from what you spend to who you see and where you go and may use violence, or the threat of violence, to do this. Domestic violence or absue usually affects women but may also affect men and those in gay or lesbian relationships. It affects people from all backgrounds and all races.
