Witness Care
The Witness Care Unit provides victims and witnesses attending court with a single point of contact up until the court case is concluded.
Each victim or witness is contacted by a Witness Care Officer who will:
- keep victims and witnesses informed about the case
- keep victims and witnessess informed of dates they are required to attend court
- arrange extra support for victims and witnesses (if required)
- work in partnership with the CPS, Victim Support and Witness Service to provide a wrap around service
