
WELCOME TO SUFFOLK CRIMINAL JUSTICE BOARD (SCJB)
SCJB, WORKING TOGETHER FOR A SAFER SUFFOLK
Suffolk Criminal Justice Board (SCJB) was launched in April 2003 to transform the way the criminal justice system works to catch, convict and rehabilitate more criminals in Suffolk.
It is made up of local chief officers from:
- The Police
- Probation Service
- Her Majesty's Courts Service
- Crown Prosecution Service
- Youth Offending Service
- Prison Service
- Suffolk County Council (Social Inclusion)
- Legal Services Commission
The current Chair of the Board for Suffolk is John Budd, Chief Probation Officer for the Probation Service in Suffolk.
The SCJB's prime objective is to provide a better Criminal Justice service for the people of Suffolk by bringing offenders to justice.
