2009 template? Inside Justice Week 2008 - Open Board Meeting
The public in Nottinghamshire will have the chance to get a unique glimpse into the criminal justice system as part of Inside Justice Week.
Inside Justice Week runs across England and Wales from 18 -25 October.
The aim of this year’s Inside Justice Week is to open up the justice system to the public in order to:
- Increase people’s knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system;
- Encourage people to get involved by publicising the range of career and volunteering opportunities available in the criminal justice system; and
- Inform people about the support available should they come into contact with the justice system, either as a victim or witness.
To kick the week off residents from across Nottinghamshire have the chance to quiz members of Nottinghamshire Criminal Justice Board. On Thursday 23 October 2008 members of the Board will answer questions about crime and justice. Representatives from criminal justice agencies will also provide information about the criminal justice system. The event will take place in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
