Educational Resources

Northumbria Local Criminal Justice Board is committed to working with communities and raising your awareness about the Criminal Justice System in a variety of ways.
Participation in community events, engaging with diverse groups and talking and listening to people including young people and children and hearing their views is an important aspect of our work.
We have a range of materials including DVDs, and access to professionals in particular roles across the criminal justice agencies who may be able to help in planning lessons.
We have worked with the charity Prison Me, No Way in organising Crime Awareness Days focusing on topics including the criminal justice system and Anti Social Behaviour. We have participated in Court Open Days and organised our own awareness events during Inside Justice Week.
We also have a giant board game, The Justice Game which inspires questions and conversation about the work of Northumbria Police, Northumbria Crown Prosecution Service, Northumbria Probation Service, HM Courts Service, The Legal Services Commission, Youth Offending Service, and the Prison Service.
More recently we have developed packages to fit in with the teaching aims of the Justice module of the Health and Social Care Diploma. Full teaching notes, games and activities will also be available to download.
For more information about packages available to support education please contact Communications Officer Sowmya Pulle on 07766 247 704
or send an e-mail.
