The Justice Awards are an annual campaign to engage staff and volunteers working in the CJS through a national awards scheme recognising outstanding achievement.
In 2007 we had Andrew from the Youth Offending Service in Sunderland collecting an award.
He uses his skills as a painter and decorater to help young offenders gain practical skills, build confidence and make a positive impact on the local community.
The awards aim to:
- Reward those 'who go the extra mile' in their work with victims, witnesses, defendants ot offenders.
- Engage the 400,000 people who work with the CJS with the Government's programme of reform.
- Increase both the quantity and quality of nominations from all agencies.
- Engage key stakeholder organisations through sponsorship and other involvement in the awards.
