Inside Justice Season 2008 will take took place between September and November and is a national campaign aimed at opening up the workings of the criminal justice system to the public.
The aim of the season of events was to increase knowledge and understanding of the CJS because research suggests that the more people know about how justice is delivered, the more confident they become.
This is vital because if people are confident in the system, they are more likely to report a crime and should the case end up in court, they are more likely to turn up and give evidence as a witness.
Inside Justice Season enables the public to find out more about the support available to them should they come into contact with the criminal justice system as a victim of crime, witness and juror or as someone accused of a crime.
