Who we are

The London Criminal Justice Board (CJB) works to ensure that London’s Police, Crown Prosecution Service, Her Majesty’s Courts Service, Probation Service, Youth Offending Teams and Prison Service, with Victim Support London, work together to co-ordinate activity and share responsibility for delivering a quicker, simpler, safer and supportive criminal justice service (CJS) in London.
To achieve our aim, the London CJB requires unique governance arrangements, which holds us accountable to London Ministers and the National Criminal Justice Board and provides the opportunity for non-CJS community members and the Judiciary to scrutinise our polices and practices.
Crucially, this structure enables us to support our 28 local criminal justice groups, which are the principle vehicles for co-ordinating local agency delivery and improving performance.
