Our targets and performance

Since the Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs) was established in 2003, the performance of the London Criminal Justice Partnership (CJP), previously known as the London Criminal Justice Board, has improved considerably. In fact we are the most improved LCJB in the country.

Government priorities are set out in Public Service Agreements (PSAs) against which performance targets are set. The London CJP reviews the national targets and may decide to strengthen some of the targets if a particular performance area is of higher priority for Londoners. The Partnership will also set itself additional targets that it aspires to meet that reflect other performance priorities specific to London.

There are two PSAs which are key to our work: the 'Justice for All' PSA (24) focuses on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the criminal justice system in bringing offences to justice, especially serious offences; and the 'Making Communities Safer' PSA (23) focuses on reducing crime and re-offending.
