Our Performance

Since the establishment of Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs) in 2003 the performance of the London Criminal Justice Board (CJB) has improved considerably; in fact we are the most improved LCJB in the country.

Government priorities are set out in Public Service Agreements (PSA) against which performance targets are aligned. The London CJB reviews the national targets and may decide to strengthen some of the targets and establish additional measures if a particular performance area is of a higher priority for Londoners.

There are two PSAs which are key to our work: the 'Justice for All' PSA (24) focuses on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the CJS in bringing offences to justice, especially serious offences; and the 'Making Communities Safer' PSA (23) focuses on reducing crime and re-offending.
