Question Time

The Lancashire Criminal Justice Board (LCJB) holds regular Question Time events around the county to give members of the public a chance to discuss the criminal justice system face to face with the people who run it. That includes the Chief Officers of all the local criminal justice agencies – Lancashire Constabulary, theCrown Prosecution Service, Her Majesty’s Court Service, the Probation Service, the Youth Offending Team, the Prison Service and Victim Support.

Each event provides an unprecedented opportunity local people to put their views to key players in the administration of justice with Chief officers, or their deputies, taking questions from the audience about their area of work or the criminal justice system as a whole.

Previous topics of debate have included antisocial behaviour, knife crime, sentencing, the rise in the prison population, hate crime and how the panel feel about a DNA database.
