The Government is committed to raising public confidence in the fairness effectiveness andefficiency of the Criminal Justice System, by making it more transparent and responsive to local concerns.
Locally, the Humberside Criminal Justice Board is committed to engaging with its local communities and working with local partners so that:
- the population of Humberside has greater knowledge and understanding of the Criminal Justice System
- the Criminal Justice System addresses, and is seen to address, the needs of the local community
- the public are given greater opportunity to participate in the Criminal Justice System
