April 2009 - New Project Manger for the GCJB

Name: Susanne Richards
Role: Project Manager (Full Time)

Susanne Richards joined the Gwent Criminal Justice Board on the 16th April 2009 in the position of Project Manager. With a degree in Criminology, Susanne started working for Gwent Police as the Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator in August 2004 developing and delivering 'Safer Newport' domestic abuse strategy, The strategy focussed on 3 main objectives; protection and support for victims and their families from domestic abuse, Perpetrator Accountability and Prevention. In her free time Susanne enjoys climbing, running, biking and surfing.

Under the 'New Ways of Working' Susanne will project manage several projects in her portfolio. 

March 2009 - GCJB welcome their newest member to the team

Name:  Michelle Vaisey-Baker
Role: Management Administrator (Full Time)

Michelle Vaisey-Baker joined the Gwent Criminal Justice Board on 2nd March 2009 in the position of a Management Administrator. Michelle’s experience with the police started in late 1998 when she was employed temporarily by a recruitment agency to work in Fingerprints Department and then later in ASU Typing, before being offered a position with Gwent Police starting in January 1999. Michelle spent the following 10 years within Firearms Licensing, originally as an Administrative Assistant, and then in her latter years as Deputy Manager where she was the First Line Manager to a team of at least seven members of staff ranging to ten members at times. She is married to Ashley and has two step-children, and is currently studying Social Sciences with the Open University.

Michelle will be providing administrative support to the Gwent Criminal Justice Board, managing the day to day operations of the office and providing support to all members of the GCJB support staff.
