Working together to make Hesters Way area and Cinderford safer

At the beginning of the year, all of the justice agencies in Gloucestershire worked together specifically to tackle crime in the Hesters Way, Swindon Village, Wymans Brook, Springbank, Fiddlers Green and St. Marks areas of Cheltenham, and in Cinderford in the Forest of Dean. Following consultation with residents, we were asked to tackle various types of criminal activity in these areas and these crimes were treated as a priority by all the agencies who deliver justice in Gloucestershire.

Which areas did the agencies focus on?

In Hesters Way area: Residents asked us to focus on the use of mini-motos around Pilgrove Estate/Springbank; and anti-social behaviour in and around Malvern Street,Queen Street, Elm Street, Edward Wilson House, Scott House, Star News on Hesters Way Road, the new Community Resource Centre, Pilgrove Way, Coronation Square and King George V Park. January, February and March 2008

In Cinderford area: Residents asked us to tackle anti-social behaviour in Cinderford town centre and in Drybrook Village, and under-age drinking in Cinderford. February, March and April 2008.
