Almost £90,000 has been given to projects across Dyfed Powys!! What better way could there be to send a clear message that crime does not pay than for victims and witnesses, and young people especially, to see a tangible improvement in there communitites?
To put in place something they have asked for, paid for with money recovered from criminals is a visual reminder of the money clawed back from criminals in our courts.
CARMARTHENSHIRE - £25,000 has been awarded for a new multi use sports facility in Llansteffan.
CEREDIGION - £11,000 has been given to Penpolion LIfeboat Station and Aberystwyth Boxing Club for new lights and CCTV cameras to reduce anti social behaviour and criminal damage.
PEMBROKESHIRE - £20,000 is being given to the Tanyard Youth Project in Pembroke and Hub berston Recreation Area.
POWYS - £30,000 has been award to help the Graig Project near the Penrhos Estate, Ystradgynlais for a multifunctional recreational development. This is the BEFORE shot - all projects are due to be complete by MARCH 2010.
