Youth Offending Service

Derby Youth Offending Service (part of the Derby Community Safety Partnership) and Derbyshire Youth Offending Team deal with young people aged 10-17 who have committed an offence or are at risk of offending.

They identify the specific problems that make the young person offend as well as measure the risk they pose to others. This enables us to identify suitable programmes to address the needs of the young person with the intention of preventing further offending. Court orders given by the youth courts include Action Plan Orders, Referral Orders and Intensive Supervision and Surveillance Programmes.
