Sergeant Dave Glover

As Cambridgeshire Constabulary's former Youth Crime Reduction Co-ordinator, police Sergeant Dave Glover drove numerous high-profile initiatives involving police and other agencies within the Cambridgeshire Criminal Justice Board.

Sgt Glover retired from the Constabulary in May 2008, but has left behind an impressive legacy.

In 2005 he produced a report that led to a change in Crown Prosecution Service guidelines regarding the treatment of children in care accused of committing crime.

Sgt Glover has pioneered numerous other schemes, mostly aimed at reducing youth crime. He regularly uses interactive computer packages to engage children and young people in issues surrounding criminal justice.

His work with Bretton Woods School in Peterborough during Inside Justice Week 2006 was one of the most high-profile of all the initiatives taken by the 42 Local Criminal Justice Boards nationwide.

Sgt Glover also took a leading role at last year's Inside Justice Week events at Cambridge Regional College and Bushfield Community College in Peterborough.
