A number of events took place throughout Cambridgeshire during National Tackling Drugs Week.
National Tackling Drugs Week events in Cambridgeshire
Wednesday, May 21:
- Police joined Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) members for a full day at The College of West Anglia at Wisbech for informal talks with students.
Thursday, May 22:
- Police joined DAAT and Addaction team members at Cambridge Regional College between 11.30am and 3pm for informal talks with students.
- The Cambridgeshire Drugs Intervention Programme (CDIP) at Wellington Court, Cambridge, opened its doors to the public between 12.30pm and 4pm.
- Police joined DAAT team members at Peterborough Regional College between 10am and 2pm for informal talks with students.
- Peterborough Drugs Service, 49-51 Broadway, Peterborough, opened the doors to its new Learning Suit and Positive Lifestyle Suite for service users between 10am and 2pm. For more information call Pat Murphy 01733 863883.

Throughout the week Police carried out a number of drugs enforcement operations - part of an ongoing crackdown on the supply of illegal substances.

Representatives from the Police, Addaction, Drug and Alcohol Action Team, Cambridgeshire County Council and Cambridgeshire Criminal Justice Board discuss what's being done locally to tackle illegal drug supply and help people with drug addictions.
