Our Aims



Bedfordshire Criminal Justice Board has seven major priorities set by the Government. Each year the Board formulates a Delivery Plan, setting targets to work towards achieving the national goals.
The National Priorities are:
- Bring more offenders to justice
- Target persistent young offenders
- Target persistent offenders
- Cut delays that lead to ineffective trials in local courts
- Ensure enforcement of community penalty orders, fines, asset recovery of crime, court warrants and breach of release licence conditions.
- Improve services to victims and witnesses
- Raise public confidence in local criminal justice
